Contest Details
Contest Phases
There are two phases to the contest. The first phase is the teacher submission phase. This is where students, former students , parents and members of the community will submit the names of teachers that they believe are deserving of the award. This phase will run until March 31st at 11:59 PM CST.
The second stage is the finalist voting phase. On April 9th we will announce 15 finalists. The finalists will be determined by two factors. First, the number of unique submissions for each the teacher. Second, based on the reasons provided for why this teacher should win the award.
From April 9th through April 29th at 11:59 PM CST visitors will vote for the teacher of their choice. One vote per person per hour is all that is allowed. The winner will be announced on May 15th. The winner will be determined based on the number of votes and the reasons submitted for why this teacher should win the award. 60% weight will be given to the number of votes and 40% weight will be given to teacher worthiness. The 3 winners will be announced on May 15th.
AWARD
Three $1,000.00 grants for a total of $3000 awarded
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be a licensed school teacher or administrator in the state of Oklahoma
